Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Tonepost Shopify app ("Tonepost", "the service"). By installing or using Tonepost you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Tonepost generates blog post drafts for your Shopify store using AI, based on RSS feeds you connect, source material you provide and voice templates you configure. Tonepost can also publish posts to your store, on a schedule, when you authorise it.
2. Your account and eligibility
You must have an active Shopify store and the authority to install third-party apps on it. You are responsible for all activity that occurs through your installation.
3. Plans and billing
Tonepost offers Free, Starter and Pro plans with different post and feature limits. Paid plans are billed through Shopify's billing system on a recurring monthly basis in USD. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from within the app. Refunds are handled in accordance with Shopify's billing policy.
We may change plan pricing or limits with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Tonepost to:
- Generate or publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, or that infringes intellectual property rights.
- Generate spam, deceptive content, or content designed to manipulate search rankings in ways that violate search engine guidelines.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, resell or sub-licence the service.
- Circumvent plan limits, abuse our APIs or otherwise interfere with the service.
5. AI-generated content
Content produced by Tonepost is generated by an AI model (Claude, provided by Anthropic). You are responsible for reviewing, editing and verifying AI-generated content before publishing it. We do not guarantee that generated content will be accurate, original or fit for any particular purpose. You retain ownership of any content you generate using the service.
6. Source content
When you connect an RSS feed or paste source material into Tonepost, you represent that you have the right to use that material as input for content generation. You are responsible for complying with the source publisher's terms.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep Tonepost available continuously but do not guarantee uptime. The service depends on third parties (Shopify, Anthropic, our hosting and database providers) and may be interrupted by their outages or by scheduled maintenance.
8. Termination
You can uninstall Tonepost from your Shopify admin at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that puts us or other users at risk. On termination your subscription stops billing and your data is deleted 48 hours later, as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tonepost is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This does not exclude any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to Tonepost is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or loss of profits damages.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of Tasmania, Australia.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to the shop owner. Continued use of Tonepost after a change means you accept the updated terms.
